GFRC Recycling Furniture to those in need.

Gainsborough Furniture and Resource Centre

About Us

Founded in 2005,  GFRC is presently managed by a Project Coordinator, assisted by a number of dedicated volunteers.

During 2009, GFRC supported 250 households with 1288 items of essential furniture. Without the assistance of GFRC, many of these families would have had to live without essential items such as beds, chairs, etc.

The beneficiaries are referred only by registered agencies in the local area;  with agencies working together to support those who we know genuinely need our help.

Being able to recycle good quality furniture to give to those who require it, not only helps those in need, but also assists against the impact to the environment.  During 2009, we have saved over 20 tonnes of unwanted furniture from going to landfill.

Volunteering   -  Join in our success

GFRC are always looking to recruit volunteers to help us in our work.

No formal qualifications are required and all are welcome. We would especially like to hear from people with skills such as driving, carpentry, repairing upholstery, etc.

If you feel able to commit any time on a regular basis and would be interested in helping build on the work being carried out, please contact us on 01427 675804.
